Accion Animal originated from the concern for resolving the serious problem the mistreatment of pets caused by ignorance of the population coupled with the lack of education towards the care and possession of the same, causing indiscriminate reproduction, neglect, undernourishment and generating feral cats and dogs, which causes many health problems, ecological and welfare of the environment.
The vision of Acción Animal is that all animals be well cared for and treated with respect.
Acción Animal aims to achieve measurable positive change in improving the lives of animals in Playa del Carmen Quintana Roo, through innovative educational and research initiatives. AWFC fosters an ethic of animal care.
We have visited some private pre-primary and primary schools, and most public preschools, conducting educational talks for animal welfare.
